Meet the Team: David Levy

At OrbitMI, it’s our maritime intelligence platform that our customers know, but it’s the fantastic people that make us, well, us!

Next up in our continuing blog series on members of the OrbitMI team is David Levy, our CMO. David is involved in just about every aspect of the company, and loves being a part of new projects, in both sales and marketing, that help drive OrbitMI forward.

Fun Facts

·David is an avid cyclist (which you can read about here) 

·After college he aspired to be a journalist, eventually becoming the first full-time Online Media Editor at Reader's Digest

 

·David plays guitar and sings in a band, and is looking forward to performing again in-person this winter

 

·He lives in Weston, Connecticut with his family, two cats, and a dog

 

·David loves baseball, and is a longtime fan of the New York Yankees

 

Primary role at OrbitMI

David has been with OrbitMI for three years; while working in Boston, he met CEO Ali Riaz, who asked him to join the OrbitMI team in 2018. David enjoys seeing Orbit grow and mature, and is excited about the new features and functionalities that are currently in development. He often finds himself mapping out voyages in Orbit's Nautical Distance Calculator, and seeing how different variables can impact efficiency.

When asked what he likes most about working at OrbitMI, David said he has especially enjoyed building a culture within the team over the past 18 months of remote work.
