Paul Gunton has a BSc in Ship Science from Southampton University in the UK and spent two years working at a ship model experiment tank before turning to technical journalism in 1980. After a number of years at The Motor Ship magazine, he has edited, managed or founded a number of international shipping publications including Lloyd's Ship Manager, Fairplay, Fairplay Solutions, Safety at Sea, Marine Propulsion, Ballast Water Treatment Technology and the Worldwide Turbocharger Guide. He has chaired conferences, run award schemes and moderated webinars and now offers editorial services to organisations including ShipInsight.com, the Nautical Institute, the International Chamber of Shipping and to a number of PR company clients.
